    Dear Pastor DeWitt,

I’m new at your church and have really been enjoying your sermons. (Pastor Pitts had a really interesting sermon on Jonah a couple weeks ago too.) Your message today and how you tied into your trip to China really blessed me. You are truly a man of God. I feel that I am definately a “lukewarm” christian. I left your church today asking God to make me different from this moment on. Different in a good way. To help me with my christain walk and to let me never go back to my same ways. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a horrible person. I’m a single mom that hasn’t always made the right choices, but I keep striving. As I said your message touched my heart and I’m praying that God will continue to keep me close. I ask for Him to bless this church and it’s congregation and make us all on Fire for Him. Beautiful, beautiful message. Thank you

Can you refresh my memory? What was the name of the book you were reading and suggested as a good read during the Jan. 3rd sermon?

    Thank you!

    Hey Steve,

Wow…it is so cool to see others that I grew up with passion about Jesus as well! Julie Blanford Cagwin shared with me that you are pastoring. That is wonderful!

I am a speaker and author with Proverbs 31 Ministries in Charlotte, North Carolina. My passion is leading teen girls and their moms to completion in Christ. Having Him be my all has made every difference in my life; I just want to do all I can to give it away.

Again, just wanted to say I am so glad to see you giving your life for the only one who counts.

    His,

    Lynn Martin Cowell

We are a older couple living in the Lowell/Hebron area seeking God for guidance. I have been out of full time work for over 6 months without unemployment compensation. I previously had a 14 year management position. We have been attending different churches in the area but have always felt like we had really been to church when we attended Bethel. The only interview I can get now is for a job that pays $7.25 hour. If I can get it I’ll take it. I am blessed to sing in a southern gospel quartet called “The Sonshine Boys” and I also write songs. Jeannie and I do have peace and joy so, I am not complaining. We are going to start going back to Bethel consistantly for guidance from God. Thank you for being there.

    Pastor Steve,

You may recall that we met at a recent vertical prayer meeting. I asked you how I could pray for your needs. My family and I have been attending Bethel for a few months now. Like many families, we have a unique and diverse religious background. But this note is not about us as much as it’s about you and your ministry. I wanted to let you know that your messages speak to many generations and have positively impacted my family. We are hearing more of the Word at Bethel and it is doing a deeper work in our lives. I have seen subtle changes in all of our lives, my daughter even asks to go to services at Bethel.

I am telling you all of this to encourage you and your ministry there. Being a pastor in some ways is probably one of the most difficult callings there is. Yet you are doing it well, and making a difference in the lives of others. I will continue to pray for you as we discussed that the Lord will bless and multiply your efforts.

    Regards, Duane

I tried to leave a reply earlier, but do not believe it got through, I appreciate Sunday’s sermon, we had a series a couple years ago, “Buried Treasurers” a good month of February, I believe every once in a while we need these, someone else should get the joy of tithing, don’t stop at ten percent, when I was woring I gave allot less, but now that I am retired I find myself giving more. The way that I am able to do this is that I have set goals for mysef, I have reaced those goals, and went beyond them, only because of the Lord’s supply. Praise Him.

Praise to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, and blessings to you brother. Being still and knowing- the latter (intimate knowledge) only born of the former- is my heartbeat (although one wouldnt know it with the amount of running & multitasking i do in this ministry). I pray today for you to have new clarity on things you once questioned and left on the shelf of your mind…. i pray God to pull them down off the shelf and to infuse a love message straight to your heart that you will experience with all of your senses, with all of your being, so that it can be taught/transmitted/transferred to others with the backing of your lifemessage.

    have an awesome day!
